1. What we use
zh.app uses essential cookies only — the minimum needed for signing in to work:
- Session cookie (
tb_session) — keeps you signed in to your account. Set only when you sign in; HttpOnly; removed on sign-out or expiry. - Signed-in display marker (
tb_li) — a non-identifying flag that lets pages show the correct navigation state for signed-in users without reading your session.
Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored in your browser's localStorage, not in a cookie, and never leaves your device.
2. What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics cookies. If we later enable traffic analytics, we will use a cookie-free, privacy-preserving option (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) and update this notice.
3. Consent and control
Because we set only strictly necessary cookies, no consent banner is required under UK PECR. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking the session cookie will prevent signing in, while all published content remains readable.
