It offers online financial services, including securities and derivative trades brokerage, margin financing and fund distribution services through its Futubull and Moomoo digital platforms. The company also provides financial information and online community services; online wealth management services under the Money Plus brand name through its Futubull and moomoo platforms, which provides its client access to mutual funds, private funds, bonds, structured products, and other wealth management products; market data and information services; and NiuNiu Community, an open forum for users and clients to share insights, ask questions, and exchange ideas. Futu Holdings Limited was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Admiralty, Hong Kong.

Futu Holdings Limited was founded in 2007 by Leaf Hua Li, an early Tencent employee, and launched its online brokerage in 2012; its holding company was incorporated in the Cayman Islands in 2014. Headquartered in Admiralty, Hong Kong, it listed on Nasdaq on March 8, 2019 at $12 per ADS (ticker first FHL, later FUTU) and completed a dual primary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (code 3588) in December 2022. It operates the Futubull and Moomoo platforms.

Futu is a digital retail brokerage and wealth management distribution platform in capital markets. By end-2025 it had 29.18 million registered users, 3.365 million funded accounts and HK$1.233 trillion in client assets, with quarterly funded-account retention above 98%. Its scale exceeds direct peer UP Fintech (Tiger), while global brokers such as Interactive Brokers and Charles Schwab remain far larger. It uses a dual-class structure under which founder Leaf Hua Li holds about 63.0% of voting power and Tencent affiliates about 30.8%, and does not hold a mainland China securities brokerage license.
