Hua Hong Grace Semiconductor Limited was formerly known as Hua Hong Semiconductor Limited and changed its name to Hua Hong Grace Semiconductor Limited in May 2026. The company was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Shanghai, the People's Republic of China.

History

Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Shanghai, the company traces its origin to a 2005 reorganization in which it acquired 100% of Shanghai Hua Hong NEC Electronics and established Hua Hong Semiconductor as a Hong Kong listing entity, with approvals from SASAC, MOFCOM and the NDRC. It listed on the HKEX main board on 15 October 2014 at HK$11.25 per share. A state-backed industry fund subscribed shares in 2018, and the company completed an A-share IPO on the STAR Market in 2023 at RMB52 per share. In May 2026 it was renamed Hua Hong Grace Semiconductor Limited.

Hua Hong is a China-based wafer foundry centered on mature and specialty process platforms, including embedded and standalone non-volatile memory, power discrete devices, analog and power management, and specialty logic and RF processes. According to TrendForce, in the third quarter of 2025 the top ten foundries together held 97% of the market, with TSMC at 71.0%, SMIC 5.1%, UMC 4.2%, GlobalFoundries 3.6% and Hua Hong 2.6%. Its products serve consumer electronics, industrial control, automotive electronics, the Internet of Things, and communications and computers.
