Shanghai Xizhi Technology Co., Ltd. (Lightelligence) traces its origins to 2017, when founder Shen Yichen published research on deep learning with coherent nanophotonic circuits; Lightelligence, Inc. was incorporated in the United States that October, and the Shanghai operating entity was established in China in 2018. Headquartered in Shanghai, it designs and manufactures optoelectronic hybrid computing solutions and launched the PACE photonic computing platform in 2021. After a 2024 restructuring, it listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 28 April 2026 (code 01879) at HK$183.2.
Industry position
The company develops two product lines built on its oNOC, oNET, and oMAC technologies: optical interconnect, which contributed about 79% of 2025 revenue, and optical computing, about 20.8%. It positions itself as a protocol-agnostic, independent supplier of Scale-up optical interconnect and optical switching for domestic GPU super-nodes, and reports roughly 88.3% share of China's independent Scale-up optical-interconnect segment. In the overall China market, however, Huawei holds 98.4% (largely captive) and Xizhi about 1.4%.
