History

Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII), a Shenzhen-based subsidiary of Hon Hai Precision (2317.TW), was formed in 2015 when the Hon Hai/Foxconn group bundled communication network equipment, cloud service equipment, and precision tools/industrial robots into one entity. It listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (601138) on 2018-06-08 at an IPO price of ¥13.77 per share, raising about ¥27.1 billion in what was that year's largest A-share IPO. The company moved through an industrial-internet narrative phase (2018–2020), a quiet period (2021–2023, with its first half-year revenue decline of -8.2% in 2023H1), and an AI-server phase (2024–2026); cloud-computing revenue first exceeded half of the total in 2024, and FY2025 revenue reached ¥902.887 billion (+48.22%) with net profit of ¥35.286 billion (+51.99%).

Industry position

FII is the world's largest assembler and system integrator of NVIDIA GB200/GB300 NVL72 rack-level AI servers, with a survey-based share of about 45–48% (ahead of Quanta at ~40% and Wistron at ~10%). In FY2025 its three segments were cloud computing at ¥602.679 billion (66.75%), communication and mobile network equipment at ¥297.851 billion (32.99%), and industrial internet at ¥0.694 billion (0.26%). It is among the few firms with full-stack vertical integration spanning module, substrate, high-speed switch, liquid cooling, complete machine, and data center, offering L10–L12 one-stop rack delivery. The global AI-server rack contract-manufacturing field is an oligopoly shared by FII, Quanta, Wistron, Inventec, and Wiwynn, with top-five customers accounting for 62.01% of FY2025 revenue.
