Comcast Corporation was founded in 1963 and is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and went public on June 29, 1972. In 2025 the company sold its Hulu equity interest, generating a $9.4 billion pre-tax gain. It completed the spin-off of its Versant business, which was finalized on January 2, 2026, after which the listed entity became a more focused Comcast. In 2026 Comcast used cash distributed from Versant together with cash on hand to redeem certain higher-interest debt. Its Epic Universe theme park began contributing during this period.
