Equinix, Inc. was established on June 22, 1998 and is based in Redwood City, United States. It completed its IPO on August 11, 2000. The company has raised its dividend for 11 consecutive years. In 2024 it formed a new xScale joint venture with GIC and CPP Investments, with total investment capacity of more than 15 billion US dollars and plans to add over 1.5GW of US capacity. It has also expanded through acquisitions such as atNorth.
