The company was formerly known as Shandong Zhongji Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Zhongji Innolight Co., Ltd. in September 2017. Its optical module product line advanced rapidly: a 37% share of the 40G single-mode segment in 2014, the first 400G QSFP-DD FR4 demonstration in 2018, an 800G pluggable module in 2020, the 1.6T OSFP DR8 silicon photonics module led in 2024, and 800G coherent-lite plus single-wave 400G released in 2025.
