Historique
Exelon Corporation traces its public listing to an IPO dated January 2, 1980, and the present holding company was incorporated in 1999, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Once an integrated energy group with substantial generation operations, Exelon completed the spin-off of Constellation in February 2022, after which it became a holding company centered on regulated transmission and distribution utilities. In a separate matter, ComEd entered a deferred prosecution agreement in July 2020 and paid $200 million, with the three-year term ending July 17, 2023.
