The company researches, develops, produces, and sells nanometer and submicron metal powder materials, including nickel, copper, and silver powders together with binary and ternary alloy powders. Its core production technology is an atmospheric-pressure plasma-heated vapor-phase condensation (PVD) method. The materials are used in MLCC, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, communications, industrial automation, and aerospace. In 2025 the company reported revenue of 11.52 亿元 and net profit attributable to shareholders of 2.19 亿元.

Boqian is an upstream domestic supplier of high-end metal powders for MLCC electrodes rather than an end-product brand.
