The company is headquartered in San Jose, California, and completed its IPO on July 25, 2018. Subsequent milestones reflected in financing and partnership structures include a 1GW supply framework with AEP in 2024 and a five-year financing framework of up to $5 billion supported by Brookfield in 2025. In 2025 the company issued $2.5 billion of 0% convertible notes and conducted exchange transactions, including a November 2025 exchange that issued 24.3 million and 18.11 million Class A shares to 2028/2029 convertible noteholders.
