Additionally, the company engages in the development of various immunotherapies for patients with cancer and other incurable diseases. The biopharmaceutical company has expanded its pipeline through acquisitions: it completed CymaBay in 2024, and in 2026 it advanced or completed Arcellx (cash consideration of about $7.1 billion plus a CVR tied to anito-cel sales), Tubulis (upfront of about $3.2 billion with milestones up to about $1.9 billion) and Ouro (upfront of about $1.7 billion with milestones up to about $0.5 billion, of which Galapagos bears 50%). The Arcellx acquisition was completed after March 31, 2026, while the Ouro and Tubulis deals were in progress during the second quarter of 2026.
