업계 내 위치

Curtiss-Wright competes across multiple engineered niche markets spanning defense electronics, embedded computing, naval nuclear propulsion, commercial nuclear power services, aircraft actuation, and surface technology, serving the aerospace and defense, commercial nuclear power, process, and industrial markets worldwide. In 2025 total revenue was $3.498 billion, split across Aerospace & Industrial at $977 million, Defense Electronics at $1.019 billion, and Naval & Power at $1.503 billion, with segment operating income of $166 million, $278 million, and $231 million respectively; Defense Electronics carried the highest segment operating margin at 27.3%, while Naval & Power was the largest segment with a year-end backlog of about $2.580 billion. The defense business spans more than 400 platforms and over 3,000 programs. Many of its products serve must-not-fail, safety-critical applications and are deeply embedded in customer platforms, supported by certification, qualification, and aftermarket and spare-parts ecosystems that create high switching costs. The company has hundreds of customers, with no single customer exceeding 10% of revenue in 2023, 2024, or 2025; in 2025, U.S. and foreign government end-use accounted for 58% of revenue, with U.S. government agencies and prime contractors at about 47%. Total new orders reached $4.054 billion in 2025 against revenue of $3.498 billion, with year-end backlog of $4.076 billion, and first-quarter 2026 new orders of about $1.2 billion at a book-to-bill of 1.3x. Comparable engineered industrial and defense peers cited include HEICO, Woodward, Crane, TransDigm, and RBC Bearings.
