Posição no setor

Halliburton is one of the three major global oilfield-services providers, alongside SLB and Baker Hughes, with Weatherford also cited among its competitors. It serves international oil companies, national oil companies, and independent operators worldwide, with operations in more than 70 countries; in 2025 the United States accounted for 39% of revenue and no other single country exceeded 10%, while no single customer represented more than 10% of revenue over the prior three years. In 2025 the company generated revenue of 22.184 billion USD, split roughly 59% international (13.1 billion USD) and 41% North America (9.1 billion USD); by segment, Completion and Production contributed about 58% of revenue and Drilling and Evaluation about 42%, with 2025 segment operating margins of 17% and 15% respectively. Its competitive position rests on scale, a broad global service network, a complete product line, execution capability, and customer relationships, with switching costs arising in large international projects and complex well types where service continuity, quality, and safety records matter, reinforced by the technical stickiness of its Landmark digital services. The company itself characterizes the market as highly competitive, with competition centered on price, service delivery, HSE, quality, talent, reservoir understanding, and technical capability.
