In January 2026 it acquired Calpine, with deal consideration including roughly 50 million newly issued shares, about USD 4.5 billion in cash, plus assumed Calpine debt and project financing. In 2026 the company raised its quarterly dividend 10% to USD 0.4265 per share and lifted its buyback authorization to USD 5 billion.
