История
Galaxy Digital Holdings Ltd was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in New York, New York, with about 700 employees. It went public on 16 May 2025. The company operates through three segments: Digital Assets, Data Centers, and Treasury and Corporate. A key transition has been the Helios campus in Texas, which is being converted from a mining facility into an AI/HPC data center; Galaxy delivered the first data hall to CoreWeave and began recognizing revenue from it in April 2026. The company secured an additional 830MW approval from ERCOT, bringing Helios's approved capacity to more than 1.6GW. On the regulatory side, it obtained a BitLicense and a Money Transmission License from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), and reports a global license network of more than 50. In capital actions, the board approved a $200 million buyback in February 2026, and during the first quarter of 2026 the company repurchased 3.2 million shares for $65 million at an average price of about $20.3 per share; during 2025 it also raised $851 million net through equity issuance to help fund Helios.
Положение в отрасли
Galaxy operates across two industries: digital asset financial services and AI/HPC data center infrastructure. Its Digital Assets segment combines Global Markets (OTC spot and derivatives trading, lending, structured products, and investment banking advisory and financing) with Asset Management & Infrastructure Solutions (ETF and alternative fund management, staking validator nodes, data oracles, and self-custody and custodial technology licensing), while its Data Centers segment centers on the Helios campus. By year-end 2025, asset management and infrastructure solutions platform assets were about $12.3 billion; the 2025 average loan book rose to $1.795 billion and blockchain rewards revenue reached $220 million. In digital assets it competes with Coinbase, Robinhood, established Wall Street institutions, and crypto-native platforms; in AI/HPC infrastructure it competes with Core Scientific, Applied Digital, and larger data center and cloud infrastructure players. Sources of differentiation include regulatory and licensing barriers (multiple FINRA-registered broker-dealer entities, the NYDFS BitLicense, and a network of more than 50 licenses), a full institutional product stack spanning trading, lending, banking, asset management, staking, custody and tokenization, and Helios's approved and deliverable power capacity. Its AI/HPC data center business is initially highly dependent on a single client, CoreWeave: Phase II and Phase III leases are expected to raise contracted capacity at Helios to 526MW by 2028, with the bulk of an initial 133MW delivered in the first half of 2026, and the existing client's initial contract running to 2040. Founder Mike Novogratz controls significant voting power, and at year-end 2025 the company held a 49.3% economic interest in GDH LP, with the remainder held by Novogratz-controlled entities and other limited partners.
