История
Verisk Analytics, Inc. was founded in 1971 and is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, with its predecessor ISO deeply tied to the insurance industry's core standards, forms, rules, and loss-cost services. The company completed its IPO on October 7, 2009. Over the past three years it reshaped its portfolio by divesting its energy and other non-core businesses, concentrating its operations on the insurance ecosystem across underwriting, claims, catastrophe and weather risk, anti-fraud, pricing, and workflow. By 2025 it generated revenue of 3.073 billion USD, split into Underwriting at 2.180 billion and Claims at 893 million, and employed about 8,000 people. Its share count was reduced from 158.9 million diluted shares in 2022 to 140.1 million in 2025, with roughly 131.0 million shares actually outstanding at the end of the first quarter of 2026.
Положение в отрасли
Verisk operates as a data, analytics, and technology provider serving the insurance ecosystem, deriving about 83% of 2025 revenue from hosted subscriptions (rising to roughly 84% in the first quarter of 2026) with the remainder from transactional and consulting/advisory offerings. Its products are embedded in customer workflows for underwriting, claims, pricing, fraud detection, and building cost estimation, and its claims and fraud databases rely on extensive industry-contributed data, creating a data-participation effect alongside its proprietary datasets and standard-setting position rooted in its ISO heritage. At its 2023 Investor Day, management characterized the U.S. P&C serviceable market as roughly 4 billion USD with the company holding about a 30% share against industry growth near 4%.
