Carrier Global Corporation was incorporated in 2019 and completed its IPO on April 3, 2020, beginning as a more diversified industrial portfolio. From 2023 to 2025, under CEO David Gitlin (CEO since 2019, chairman since 2021), the company restructured into a focused climate and energy solutions company: it completed the acquisition of Viessmann Climate Solutions and divested its Global Access Solutions, Industrial Fire, Commercial Refrigeration, and Commercial & Residential Fire businesses. It is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
