It engages in the development and sales of smartphones in Mainland China and internationally, and has expanded into four operating segments: Smartphones, IoT and Lifestyle Products, Internet Services, and smart electric vehicles. In 2025 total revenue was RMB 457.29 billion, of which the Smartphone and AIoT business contributed RMB 351.22 billion (76.8%) and the Smart EV, AI and other new initiatives segment RMB 106.07 billion (23.2%).

Industry position

Per Omdia data, Xiaomi remained among the top three in global smartphone shipments in 2025, with a 13.3% share. Its internet services carried a 76.5% gross margin, overseas internet services revenue was RMB 12.6 billion (33.8% of that revenue), and 2025 R&D expenses were RMB 33.13 billion. In smart electric vehicles, where it delivered 411,082 units in 2025, it is a later entrant pursuing scale alongside established players such as BYD and Tesla. Its standing rests on overlapping layers: brand recognition in mass and value-oriented technology markets, supply-chain, channel and R&D scale, and a cross-scenario ecosystem spanning phones, home devices, wearables, TVs and cars.
