MetaX Integrated Circuits (Shanghai) Co Ltd was founded in Shanghai in September 2020 by Chen Weiliang, its chairman and CEO, with a core team drawn largely from AMD, targeting full-stack high-performance GPUs. It raised an angel round within two months, a 1 billion yuan Series A in 2021, and a 1 billion yuan Pre-B in 2022. Revenue rose from 53 million yuan in 2023 to 743 million yuan in 2024 and 1.644 billion yuan in 2025, up 121.26%, with the Xiyun C-series training-and-inference GPUs accounting for 94.31% of revenue.

MetaX is a Chinese full-function GPU designer offering training, inference, and graphics-rendering GPUs (Xisi N-series, Xiyun C-series, Xicai G-series) plus the MXMACA software stack, GPU servers, accelerator cards, and supernodes.
