沿革
Edwards Lifesciences Corporation was founded in 1958 and is headquartered in Irvine, California, and held its IPO on March 27, 2000. In September 2024 it sold its Critical Care business to BD for $4.2 billion, generating an after-tax gain of about $3.3 billion, making 2025 its first full year operating as a pure structural-heart company. During 2024 it also completed the Innovalve and Endotronix acquisitions, while its proposed JenaValve acquisition was blocked by the FTC, leading to a roughly $99.8 million impairment on a JenaValve bridge loan in 2025.
