업계 내 위치

EMCOR is one of the largest specialty mechanical and electrical and facilities-services contractors in the United States, ranking #2 (behind Quanta Services) on the 2025 ENR Top 600 Specialty Contractors list. It operates four main segments: U.S. electrical construction and facilities services, U.S. mechanical construction and facilities services, U.S. building services, and U.S. industrial services; in 2025 mechanical construction and facilities services was the largest at about $7.05 billion, followed by electrical at about $5.074 billion, building services at about $3.122 billion, and industrial services at about $1.268 billion. By 2025 revenue, roughly 72% came from construction, 21% from building services, and 7% from industrial services, with about 97% of revenue generated in the United States, serving commercial, technology, manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, utility, and institutional clients. The U.S. specialty-contracting industry is highly fragmented with extensive competitive bidding and limited entry barriers; competitors named by the company include Comfort Systems USA, APi Group, CBRE, JLL, ABM, Fluor, and Amentum. EMCOR's differentiation comes from its scale, regional coverage, execution capability, customer relationships, safety culture, and capital discipline: its 2025 total recordable incident rate was slightly below 1.0, roughly 60% below the BLS industry average of 2.4, marking the 17th consecutive year below half the industry average. As of the end of 2025, about 62% of its employees were represented by unions.
