Положение в отрасли
IQVIA is an infrastructure-type provider to the life sciences industry, combining commercial data, technology platforms, consulting and analytics with clinical trial execution, central laboratory and site services rather than operating as a single-purpose CRO or database company. Its customer base is diversified: no single customer accounted for more than 10% of revenue in 2023, 2024, or 2025, and the United States represents about 42% of revenue with no other single country exceeding 10%. Demand visibility is supported by scale, with remaining performance obligations of roughly $34.2 billion at the end of 2025 and R&D Solutions contracted backlog rising from $29.7 billion at year-end 2023 to $31.1 billion in 2024, $32.7 billion in 2025, and $34.2 billion by Q1 2026 on a restated basis. Its differentiation rests on global delivery scale, combined commercial and research data assets, high switching costs from multi-year clinical projects and embedded technology, and regulatory and compliance experience in handling clinical data. Principal competitors include ICON, Medpace, Labcorp Biopharma Laboratory Services, and Fortrea.
