After the pandemic, Delta prioritized repairing its balance sheet, reducing total debt and finance lease obligations from about $26.9 billion at the end of 2021 to roughly $23.0 billion (2022), $20.1 billion (2023), $16.2 billion (2024), and about $14.1 billion at the end of 2025, while restoring its dividend in 2023. In January 2026, Delta signed an order for 30 Boeing 787-10 aircraft with additional purchase options.
