The company offers voice, messaging, and data services to postpaid, prepaid, and wholesale and other services customers. It also provides wireless devices, including smartphones, wearables, tablets, home broadband gateways, headsets, and other mobile communication devices, as well as accessories; financing through equipment installment plans; reinsurance for device insurance policies and extended warranty contracts. The company offers services under the T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, and Mint Mobile brands through its owned and operated retail stores, customer care channels, national retailers, and its websites, as well as through T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, and Mint Mobile apps. It also sells devices to dealers and other third-party distributors for resale through independent third-party retail outlets and various third-party websites. The company was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. T-Mobile US, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG.

The company provides wireless communications services across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands under the T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, and Mint Mobile brands. Following its 2020 merger with Sprint, T-Mobile expanded beyond mobile into 5G home broadband, reaching 8.5 million 5G home broadband customers and 142.4 million total customers by year-end 2025. In November 2025, Srini Gopalan became CEO, with Mike Sievert moving to Vice Chairman.

In 2025 its service revenue grew 7.7% to $71.306 billion, faster than its mature peers. Third-party data supports its network standing: J.D. Power's 2026 U.S. wireless network quality study ranked it first in the Southeast and Southwest and tied for first with Verizon in several other regions, while Opensignal's January 2026 U.S. report awarded it all five overall network experience categories. T-Mobile US operates as a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG, which holds about 54.5% of its shares.
